Anthropic’s coding agent, working in your project.

What it does

The Claude Code card opens Anthropic’s coding agent in your project, as a Deska task or as its own interface in a terminal panel. It runs on the claude CLI installed on your computer, with the account you signed in with; Deska runs no model for it. As a task, its messages, tool calls and approval requests arrive as separate items, and the conversation picks up again after a restart. Deska reads its models and slash commands from the CLI, so you see the ones your account has.

Good for

  • Fixing a bug or building a feature while you follow every step
  • Running a second Claude Code with its own account at the same time
  • Seeing what is left of your five hour and weekly limits in the gauge under Dex

How to add it

Install the Claude Code CLI and sign in with it. If it is not on this computer, the card says Not installed and offers Install, which runs the installer in a terminal panel. Its Opens as pick chooses between Task and Terminal.
